Pun-an Denoman™

Pun-an Denoman is a team of medical students who envisions to be the cradle of change and people empowerment for health in Brgy. Denoman, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte. In view of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University School of Medicine’s goal of providing solutions to health problems in Southwestern Mindanao, Pun-an Denoman, struggles to find innovative ways in bringing about positive change for health.

Why Pun-an Denoman?

Pun-an in Bisaya literally means “to fill in”. As part of the team’s mission, we would like to fill the gaps of healthcare delivery, to fill the hearts and minds of the community with a sense empowerment and to fill the New Denoman with health.

The Emblem: Maximus the Carabao™

Maximus the Carabao, handpainted on a cheesecloth, with green ricefields and vast blue sky casted upon by the golden sunrays as its backgroud, another artistic work of Pun-an Denoman.

Hope, Innovation, Creativity, and Industry Towards Health. These are the elements embodied by Maximus the Carabao just how Pun-an Denoman and the Community people work to make Denoman a self-reliant community.

The Irresistible Mr. K-Pop

He’s the tallest guy in the group, with the slimmest legs. You’ll be amazed how he can carry 2 gallons of water at a 40-meter distance with his slender body frame. If you have concerns with your relationships, talk to him. He is the most loyal guy in town and the most honest friend you’ll ever have.

PERCY - CUTE

Like a battery, she's full of energy. This young lady never runs out of energy. When everyone seems tired and sleepy she would just stand in front and make her oh so cute voice and moves. She is also very resourceful (as in! the most resourceful person we've ever met!) Our group is so grateful to have her.

DAYA-GURL: THE EXPLORER

You can see her exploring the place during surveys and voila! she finds shortcuts and easier paths. she injects a dose of fun and naughtiness with every task as long as constipation doesn't get in the way. she laughs heartily and talks with superiority. Surely, she is one smart and dependable explorer.

Don't Mess with THE JOANNE

Thanks to her analytical skills, our group doesn't run short on budget. She's not only good at counting numbers but you can also COUNT on her. Always on the go, you would find her looking for adventure... and signal (so call her maybe :D). Responsible and strong-willed, she certainly makes her Daddy proud. You don't wanna mess with THE JOANNE or she'll show you her Kung Fu moves.

Mr. Lei Le

Elno is a good looking man who looks like Brad Pitt (chos! ngiti agad yan) because of his prominent jaw. He is good in public speaking and in making other people laugh. He's extremely afraid of snakes and has this unique laugh that is very contagious. He started using Lei Le as part of his language and now, many use in every conversation. Lastly, he is a good friend that you can count on.

Denoman's Angel

She’s Angelie Rose Barjose or “Angel” for short. At first glance, she may look serious and shy, but once you get to know her, you’ll discover her bubbly, witty, and down to earth personality. She’s a girl of passion with a genuine heart. Not only does she have a pretty face and a stunning smile, she is also blessed with an intelligent and creative mind.

small but TERRIBLE

She may be small, she maybe timid but she has a profound personality, a mind full of great ideas.. She displays honesty without harshness and though she may not express her inner feelings easily, She is but a trustworthy friend, with a heart that cares. That’s who she is... Roth, Ms. Small but Terrible.

IRONLADY V2.0

This young woman can absolutely pull everything off even under great pressure. Her presence and smartness undoubtedly inspires each member to take action. The endeavours she met for the past two exposures transformed her in a manner that could aid her in becoming the community doctor that she wanted to be. Riezyl is not your average medical student; she is your all-in-one leader who defines team spirit and perseverance. The one who can definitely walk her talk, Riezyl P. Barbadillo.

Kah - Motherly

She’s a mother and a friend all in one. She is the perfect combination of seriousness and wackiness. She knows and acts on her responsibilities but she knows how to add humor to it. Just as how her tasty meals can fill you with contentment, her humorous words of wisdom can fill your heart’s emptiness. Her motherly gestures never fail to make you feel close to home.
